PRAXIS I Score Review
Usually, PRAXIS I scores are sent out 6 weeks after the PRAXIS I test. Each institution or state has a different passing score. Don't call the ETS for a score report.
If you do not pass the PRAXIS, don't lose hope. Thousands of good teachers have missed a passing score by a few questions. Any given day a good student can make a few mistakes.
If you don't pass the PRAXIS, ask yourself the following questions.
- Did I know the material on the PRAXIS?
- Did I feel comfortable with the testing format?
- Was there something else going on in my life that was a distracter?
- Did I feel like I was guessing on the PRAXIS test?
- Did I give the test questions my best effort?
- Did I focus on my practical knowledge and not book knowledge for each test question?
- Did I prepare for a section of the PRAXIS inappropriately?
Use the above questions to improve your focus for your PRAXIS I preparation. Thousands of education students have not had to retake the PRAXIS I test. The PRAXIS I is just another hurdle in a series of qualifying requirements to become a teacher. However, don't lose hope if you don't pass it the first time. By pursuing knowledge that will help you pass the PRAXIS, you will eventually become a great teacher.
