PRAXIS II Music: Concepts and Processes Exam

This exam nation will assess your knowledge of music concepts and processes. You will be given one hour to complete two short answer questions. Each question counts as 50% of the final grade for this exam. There will be one question regarding planning the demonstration of a musical concept and, one question regarding vocal and instrumental performance techniques. For the musical concept demonstration question you will be asked to describe instructional methods you would utilize to teach a musical concept. You should include the names of musical selections you would use to teach the musical concept you choose. For the question regarding vocal and instrumental performance techniques you will be asked to describe student performance techniques for a specific topic or; remedial techniques for a specific performance issue. You may answer this question, in regard to coral or instrumental music.
