PRAXIS II Foreign Language Pedagogy Exam

This exam is designed for individuals who are interested in teaching foreign language to grades K-12 in the state of Pennsylvania. You will be given one hour to complete this 55 question, multiple choice exam. This test will measure your knowledge of the theory, method and technique of teaching a foreign language. This exam does not measure proficiency in a particular foreign language.

Foundations
This section of the exam will assess your knowledge of linguistics, articulation, grammatical analysis, pronunciation difficulties, morphological and syntactical components of language, theories of foreign language instruction, application of foreign-language theories, and professional development.

Practice
This section of the exam will assess your knowledge of various foreign language instructional techniques, advantages and disadvantages of various foreign-language instructional techniques, foreign-language classroom exercises, and sources of foreign language, instructional materials.
